BAVIAANSKLOOF AMAZING WALK

This walk was designed for the social walker with all the eco experiences that this unique area has to offer. 

Keys – clues, riddles or questions - will unlock the mysteries of the ‘Kloof’ and will lead you to your destination at the end of each day.  Come to explore the last wilderness area of Southern Africa to learn how the community takes part in sustainable tourism and benefit from projects to conserve this Mega-Reserve.

It is not a race, but a journey to explore! 6 days - 15 km per day





NAMIB "WILD HORSES" WALK


Walk through the Gondwana Sperrgebiet Rand Park Area where the Namib feral horses roam freely and experience the wonder of the Namib Desert in all its facets.

From the edge of the Namib Desert in the Aus mountain range with breathtaking views over endless plains to Luderitz and the ghost town, Kolmanskop.

It is a walking journey to experience the Namib - 5 days – 8- 16 km per day





CAMEL CHALLENGE


The Camel Challenge is a unique walk/ride experience in the heart of the Red Dune Kalahari.

Teams of two, with their camel, will cover four eco systems of the Kalahari i.e. red dunes and vast salt pans. Enjoy sundowners at the ‘Lost City’ of the Kalahari overlooking Namibia and game viewing from the back of your camel.

This walk/ride gives you the real feeling of the Kalahari.  4 days – 25km walk/ride per day    




FISH RIVER CANYON NAMIBIA– Wilderness Trail


The Fish River Canyon is one of the most magnificent natural phenomena in Southern Africa and is the oldest Canyon in the world. The hiking trail starts from the main viewpoint near Hobas to Ai-Ais Hot Spring Resort. The trail is 86 - 96km long and takes an average of five days to complete. Frik Olwage, founder and owner of Eco Ventures, has walked the ‘Fish’ more than 40 times as a guide. With Frik the Fish River Canyon becomes an unbelievable experience. He knows all the easier foot paths and his stories, around the camp fire at night, make the history of the Canyon even more interesting. 

The 'Canyon' is only open to hikers from May to September each year. –5 days bakpacking





WHALE TRAIL Slack packing


The trail meanders through the breathtaking De Hoop Nature Reserve where the fragrance of fynbos intermingles with salty sea air. You will marvel at the abundance of endemic plant species and enjoy the company of a variety of rare and endangered animals and opportunity to spot whales.
