Travel from Cape Town International airport at 11:00 via Somerset West and Bredasdorp to L’Agulhas. Enjoy the Overberg landscapes with mountain scenery all around you. In time to visit Struisbaai Harbour and a possible sighting of the feeding of Manta Rays. Visit the Southernmost point of Africa, and the wreck of the Meisho Maru, a Japanese fishing vessel, before we book into our accommodation for the evening.

Overnight and Dinner: Sanparks L’Agulhas Sea View Chalets and Lagoon House (DB&B)
Start walking from the accommodation along the coastal footpath through the Agulhas National Park. Look for stone walls in the shallow gullies, which served as Stone Age fish traps for the local inhabitants. Along an open beach, before we reach Brandfontein farmstead, an old farm on the shore. Carry on walking, via a 4 km gravel road to Renosterkop Chalets.
Overnight and dinner: SanParks Chalets (DB&B)
Transfer the short distance to Brandfontein. From a family cemetery along the Agulhas National Park’s fynbos trail. The route skirts the boundary wall of another historic old farmstead, Aasfontein, declared a National Monument and dating back to the 1800’s. A long jeep track takes us back to the beach and a small wetland seeps its fresh stream into the ocean. Walk round a long bend of sand until we reach the mouth of the Ratel River. After a lunch break the route continues along a vast stretch of beach, to end the day’s walk at Die Dam holiday resort, near Pearly Beach. Transfer to accommodation in Franskraal.
Overnight and dinner: Franskraal Beach House (DB&B)
We start hiking before breakfast along farm roads for breakfast, (included) at a restaurant in Baardskeerders Bos. Transfer to Pearly Beach and hike along the beach, called Die Gruis, following the coastline to reach Uilenkraalsmond and Franskraal. Visit the local Café for their famous ‘Draairoomys’.
Follow rocky shores and a footpath along the coast to your accommodation.
After settling in, a transfer to visit the Penguin Sanctuary. Dinner for own account at Great White House Restaurant, near Kleinbaai harbor, with a real Whale Skeleton and Dolfin skeletons hanging from the roof.
Overnight: Franskraal Beach House (B&B)
Follow beach and footpaths along the coast, via Kleinbaai harbor to Romansbaai. Transfer to Gansbaai Coffee Roastery, overlooking Gansbaai harbor for breakfast (included). After breakfast we hike from Gansbaai harbor to the Caves in De Kelders. One of the most spectacular stretches of coastline in the world. Beautiful clear rock pools to experience ocean life. Wine tasting with platters at The Bakery in Gansbaai.
Transfer back to Franskraal.
Overnight & Dinner: Franskraal Beach House (DB&B)
After breakfast a transfer to Hermanus and walk from Piet se Bos along the coast to Voëlklip and via the Old Harbor in Hermanus to the New Harbor, all along Cliff paths and white beaches. Hermanus, offers the best land-based whale watching in the world, and is yours to explore. Transfer, after lunch, to CPT Airport arriving at 16:00
