Pick up at Upington Airport at 12:30 and via Askham, 160km north of Upington, in the Red Dune Kalahari. As soon as we see the first red dunes outside Upington, we know the Kalahari and Red Dunes are waiting for us. Refreshments on the stoep of Molopo Lodge, before we leave to overnight at Dreghorn Game Farm.

We enter The Kglagadi National Park at Tweerivieren Gate and continue along the Nossob river bordering Botswana to Nossob Camp, where we will stay for the next 2 nights.

We depart after breakfast and follow the scenic dune road and along the ancient Auob river-bed, while Game watching to Mata Mata Camp. Brunch at a picnic site.

Along the Auob Riverbed and via Tweerivieren, following the ancient Molopo Riverbed to the forgotten village of Noenieputs. From here we make our way into the Riemvasmaak Mountains to Augrabies National Park. Today’s scenery will change from Red Dunes to ‘hardeveld’ and Mountains.

Early morning visit to Augrabies Falls with a game drive and picnic breakfast at the Oranjekom Viewpoint.
We take all the back-roads to Pofadder and Klein Pella Guest Farm, the biggest date farm in the Southern hemisphere. Sundowners before dinner on the banks of the Orange River.

We start our journey further into Boesmanland and the Richtersveld. Overlooking the Namibian Plato, we drive in a western direction via Goodhouse and along the Orange River. Picnic lunch on the banks of the Orange River. Lookout for Quiver Trees and beautiful landscapes of distant Mountains and Granite Koppies. We drive along true Boesmanland landscapes and jeep-tracks. We look out for the first ‘Halfmense’ on this section, and ‘Boompie-alleen. We join the N7 Tar-road about 44km before Vioolsdrif Border Post for our last 60km of the day to Nigramoep Slow Living Guest Farm.

After breakfast we do a Flower-Drive on the farm overlooking the Schaap River Canyon. Transfer via Springbok to Goegap Nature reserve and the Droedap Road to Kamieskroon.

We drive via the Arkoep jeep track and pick up a gravel road to Nourivier, visiting the Quiver Tree Forest. Down Kamies Pass to ‘Skilpad’ and visiting Namaqua National Park, which is famous for spectacular daisies.

Beautiful Namaqualand scenery on a jeep tracks, between farms, into the Kamies Mountains. Granite hills with quiver trees. Lunch at G’nis se winkel
From Garies we leave for Van Rhynsdorp to overnight at Letsatsi Lodge, a restored monastery.
Dinner: Red Ox Restaurant
Accommodation: Letsatsi Lodge en suite luxury tented accommodation.
We explore Gifberg and after a wine tasting at Klawer Cellars, we follow the back-roads to the top of Brand se Berg and via Traveller’s Rest and Pakhuis Pass to Clanwilliam.
After exploring the Village, we drive a jeep track along the Olifants River to overnight on a Guest Farm near Clanwilliam. Enjoy the Cederberg Mountains with rooibos fields and white daisies underneath citrus trees.
